am sure can get linux to do mac's fs, but, that'd probably me equal amount of headache than figuring out direct ethernet connection.

was thinking using usb drive to transfer file, for my linux to Mac switch. But fat32 max file size is 2G. no go. Back to setup direct ethernet. Dunno how many hours will need stackoverflow. sad tech affairs of 2017.

my first linux is mkLinux, on the Mac, 1999. I do unix sys admin ~1998 to 2002, on Solaris.

am on a Mac 1990 〜 2009. Window 2009 〜 2011, Linux 2011 〜 2017. Now, back to Mac.

the gui situation of Mac windows unix remains the same since 1990. Mac=intuitive, perfect. win=lousy, workable. Linux=suck my balls
