They could but no. µblock origin is a passive blocker/anti-tracker/anti-advertisement extension. It's very useful for average joe users. It's also very useful when I fuck up my umatrix configuration and let trough something that I shouodn't have. µBO isn't has precise has umatrix when it comes to what you want to block or not. TL:DR uMatrix is a Firewall. µblock Origin is a list based blocker.
The "graph" is a simple extension called umatrix. umatrix is a webbrowser firewall. You can see each content and domain separately. By default (like normally all firewalls) I use a whitelist methodology. That's why I can't load the website immediately. The website needs Javascript to load instead of being HTML/CSS. Plus the website use the services of cloudflare. Which blocks me constantly when I use tor.
For example in this new screenshot I've loaded the website of the gardian. You can see multiple domains, scripts cookies, image etc... that can be loaded. If I want the images I just need to authorize them and they'll be loaded. https://loadaverage.org/attachment/3748759
@progo i still browse without js. but also due to http2, now, major major sites won't work. including reddit, twitter.
and am finding myself giving up...
i alway use at least 2 browsers. Firefox with js cookies everything off. Chrome has js cookies on. but am finding myself to lazy to switch to the "right" browser, and also, without js, lots feature may not work.
@progo i think that'd be impossible, unless one do it like before ajax days (i.e. year 2000 web site style), that is, every click is a trip to server. no js involved.
since a year or ago, comment systems are dying. And i think disqus felt it. The began to migrate their philosophy towards being a forum, like quora.
in early 2017, chips r down, they began forcing ads. That is, u can't turn it off.
In May or so, they started to heavily build censorship features, like shadowban and detecting "toxic" comments. (their phrase), kept telling u about it in all the glory of sjw philosophy of "help".
the disqus comment system, has been super busy building censorship tools. from shadow ban to AI detecting "toxic" comment, all in the name of helping "you" (that is, their clients) better manage comments.
