@excelereight Richard Stallman Pushing for GPL3, FSF Free Software Are Being Kicked Out from Free Software Platform
@excelereight even if we stay with the story and subject that FSF is to promote FSF Free software, as is. It has lots nefarious problems, because of rms.
latest being, FSF Free software are being kicked out of FSF Free software hosting MELPA.
see my emacs blog.
@excelereight
from a book you may say what you say.
look at the over all picture, things in society are all connected.
squeeze a water balloon, it pops out elsewhere.
in 2000, we nerds are concerned about web cookies, tracking gif. These are the issues you see bitching daily on news.
Today, with cloud, smart phone, it's a magnitude worse, and there's basically nothing you can do except not using a smart phone or computer.
part of the cause of this is fanaticsm in open source and FSF. Because when you push things that don't align with reality, you worsen your goal in the long run.
latest, Moto G5 Plus, now owned by Lenovo, China. Thumb print, for your best convenience. http://xahlee.info/comp/moto_g5_plus.html
would this ever happen on Windows or Mac. Never.
but on linux.
ok, where's your code?
ok, let's be positive and find the bug source.
ok, let's emphasize the import of freedom.
ok, that's not linux. Linux is the kernal. That's X11.
ok, did you know you can switch to a different window manager?
in #linux, sometimes when you toggle max window, and both sizes are basically the same filling the screen. highly idiotic
@jeremiah class -> classic
@jeremiah i recall few months ago people are talking about nokia making a comback of their class dumb phone, which i had in 1999.
@jeremiah i definitely would consider that. Actually I was thinking of that. Is that the recent model people are talking about few months ago?
on amazon, it seems nokia n86 is not being made any longer.
ur phone, is monitoring you 24/7. omg. I think i need a faraday bag http://amzn.to/2eMWFWG but, once in bag, it's brick. can't receive call.
@xahlee If your wire isn't coiled, it takes a lot of current to generate even a small magnetic field. Without doing a careful calculation, I think it's something like an amp that would be needed at 1cm distance, and the actual currents inside a phone are more typically in microamps.
@mattskala thanks a lot!
phone has magnetometer, which detect earth mag fields, work as compass. But how's neighbor electric components don't effect it?
@mangeurdenuage haha.
to have a basic understanding needs half year
god, networking is a deep black hole
Got a smart phone. this one http://amzn.to/2xaRK9j is there a intro to mobile tech for nerds? gsm cdma LTE 3G 4G etc?
