@Elizafox somebody made an oopsie and caused a blowdown.
trust me the fact there is a big flame is much safer than if there wasn't any flame at all...especially if there is any hydrogen sulphide there

@elomatreb @vfrmedia Sorry to jump into your conversation but I saw SAP and just had to offer my condolences that you must consider working with it for a living.
@Elizafox you have a self-climbing car? Cool!
Oh wait...maybe you mean *you* climbed a mountain *using* your car.
Oh well. Maybe someday we'll all have self - climing cars..
@thurloat WTF? DDoSing dot-club is the fediverse equivalent of launching a military attack against Canada.
Like...those bastards! and...why!?
@Elizafox your instance is called mst3k so you should give bad (all?) porn the mst3k treatment.
Like, you're stranded in space and build a couple dildo-bot companions to keep you company while you are forced by evil corporate scientists to watch porn. I think your commentary would be highly entertaining!

@RainierBeringer @Azure cool refreshing #dadjoke :blobcheeky:
@ink_slinger ...I have let it slide when I see that symbol as an emoji or as a small detail of an avatar because it doesn't have the level of notoriety the swastika has. That said, if I see a post prominently displaying or overtly glorifying the hammer and sickle I will often respectfully reply that it is considered a symbol of oppression by many and it is best put behind a content warning.
@ink_slinger my mother is of Ukrainian ancestry and much of my family considers the hammer and sickle as literally just as offensive as the swastika because it in connected with Голодомо́р (Holodomor, or genocide by starvation) the way the swastika is connected with the Holocaust.
Since the USSR was an ally against the Nazis the atrocities they committed aren't as widely known, so I understand the symbol is usually not used maliciously...
@deadsuperhero @eliotberriot like tfw you figure out decorators in Python LOL
@DialMforMara that totally reminds me of the "Pink Tea" meetings held by Canadian suffragettes a century ago. When husbands would not let their wives go to political meetings and their political demonstrations were suppressed by opponents and authorities Pink Teas were an innocent sounding cover for a safe placed that ladies could support each other and discuss and organise in their battle for legal equality.
Loving toots to you all! :blobpats:
...buy always maple syrup in the batter that's the first rule of Pancake Club.
I made pancakes from scratch for brunch today. Instead of using sugar I stir maple syrup into the batter.
That's right. Around these parts the pancakes come with the maple syrup BUILT. IN.
And sometimes also banana...or some cocoa powder...or...both!
@deadsuperhero there must be a nice long German compound word for this.
Maybe daseineinsamkeit? I know very little German so who knows if this makes sense at all but it sounds cool lol
Ommmmm....nomnomnomnom 😄
