    Just got several dozen content id strikes on years-old videos that use music that was very carefully selected because it was in the public domain or available under a creative commons license

    daredo GmbH, Audiam and ONErpm just decided that they own all that music now, complete with fake band and album names, and the assurance that these are the "original mixes"

    This role has more of an administrative bent -- managing relationships with news orgs who use our services, e.g., SecureDrop support & digital security trainings -- but it also includes tier 1 support for SecureDrop, and room for technical advancement.

    @julia It's the German system: one parent can take up to 12 months out of 14 months total. So the other hast to take at least 2 or give up altogether.

    Oh my goodness I've just learned a thing about The Matrix that causes it to make a lot more sense: In the original script the humans were used as neural network compute clusters by the Machines and as a crucial component of The Matrix itself.

    Which is why humans who were aware of the simulation could control aspects of The Matrix - their minds were part of its foundation.

    Unfortunately the test audiences had trouble understanding this concept so the studio changed the human role to "batteries".

    There was recently a lot of news about DNS over HTTPS. Some people say it's bad for privacy because it centralizes the DNS requests on Google, Cloudflare and Quad9.

    Time to change that and run your own DNS over HTTPS server. I spend some time today in writing, documenting and arranging a small container setup to allow you to do this:
