Happy #ilovefs day everyone! There is way to many #FreeSoftware I rely on every day to single out one particular project. Thanks everyone who makes this possible: coder, writer, artist, designer, translator, advocates...
Get ready for a serious wave of #climate#activism Between the Youth #Strike4Climate and the #ExtinctionRebellion, we are in for some serious disruption. The movement is growing all over Europe, where 70,000 students in 270 towns and cities have been striking. According to Buzzfeed, the movement is being driven almost exclusively by teenage girls and young women, many of whom are rejecting the role of men who have been running the environmental movements in the past.
"[Freedom in the net means] the continuity of the very concept of human freedom that we won at great expense in hundreds of generations of lives...and which we will now either make more permanent or less permanent as we shift the fundamental technology of human communication."
@thinkMoult@jalcine As a former old time webdev, I agree. There are reasons to use JS and other toolkits for special purposes. But unless your site is the new Homestar Runner -- like a site about interactive video and games, there's really no reason to use HTML/CSS and minimal JS if you actually need it at all. Why is a Webpage loading JS from a dozen different sites just so I can read some article or order some pants? This makes no sense.
"¿Por qué la carne es la mejor peor cosa del mundo?"
Demoledor vídeo contra la producción de #carne desde el enfoque #ecológico. Estamos obligados a replantearnos muchas cosas... Bueno, en realidad solo una: dejar de comer carne, o comer mucha menos que ahora.
