The emphasis on rewarded allies for being good places a lot of attention and focus on people who do not have much to lose in this fight.
Whilst there are ppl being terrorized by the state, starved and feeling as if they are witness to a genocide (PR is a recent example), others want to be given credit for not being 'bad guys'
If you are one of the good ones, certainly your focus wld be on the work, not on your own rewards.
