This week has gone surprisingly well. Elections not bad, I was offered a speaking gig, new deal at my work, and my middle school class is going extremely well. Plus I get to see my nephews this weekend. Maybe things are looking up?
Feeling OK today. My back treatment is working, elections not as bad as expected, and I'm taking a trip this weekend to see my nephews who I haven't seen in a long time. Things looking up?
@ND3JR Argh. Ham radio seems cool in the abstract, but an atmosphere of old white men babbling is a major turnoff. I bet they talk about how much they hate the gubbermint!
I'm approaching this election day markedly different than 2016. I'm expecting the worst, hoping for the best, and am not stressed. I plan to consume very little news today. Physically I feel good because of my back treatment yesterday, and I got paid for my teaching gig, so I hope to maintain a good mood today.
One thing to remember going in to tomorrow (US elections): nothing can be reliably predicted anymore. We must all learn to live at a high level of uncertainty. Good luck tomorrow, stay safe, God bless, please vote.
M87 is a massive elliptical galaxy in the constellation of Virgo. It is about 54 Mly away. It could be upwards of 200 times the mass of our own galaxy and is one of the more massive objects local to us. #astrophoto
Had a second steroid shot for my back pain today. I'm now feeling the pain in other places (hips, knees, etc.) that I never noticed before because I was always focused on my back.
Wrote 10 pages on my new book this weekend! (No, I'm not doing that NaNoWriMo malarkey, as I write all year round). I'd say I'm about 70% done with this one. Productive weekend!
