It's been my experience that no one who uses that phrase ever intends it as anything other than an apologia for racism. Same category: "I don't agree with [insert well known bigot here, often Milo or Alex Jones] much of the time, but you gotta admit he's got a point about [x]..."

Hit "the wall" again today, that being energy running totally out at about 3PM Friday afternoon. Happens every week!

I smashed my foot tonight and it really hurts. Urgh.

@edebill Unless you work in a particularly sensitive industry, I can't imagine prospective employers would care if you're writing fantasy books. In fact, things like that often differentiate you from other more "boring" people seeking the same job. That's even assuming a prospective employer would even find out. They might troll job applicants' social media for drunk pics and Nazi affiliations, but only if they have time (most don't). Trust me, I was on a hiring committee once. 😉

The Tootdon app on my phone doesn't work. Shows my timelines as totally blank. Is anyone else having trouble with it?

If a person's social media timeline is full of stories they've shared about how bad Antifa is, but they never seem to get around to condemn actual Nazis...

We watched Brian de Palma's "Dressed to Kill" tonight. Holy crap, what an awful, badly-conceived, misogynistic movie. Terrible!

Two episodes of my new podcast are now complete, and I think they sound great. Can't wait for the premiere! I'm going to have to set a date soon...hopefully in the next week or so.

@seanmunger There was another member of the cast who was obsessed with pareidolia and was searching for images of Adolf Hitler in the marbled fat patterns of pieces of raw beef. Then she showed me one she thought looked like actress Rachel Weisz. 😦

I dreamed I was acting in a stage performance of "Grease," directed by my sister. But I was so busy with my climate change work and doing my podcasts that I didn't have time to learn my lines, so I had to wing it (badly) at the performance and try to remember something from the Olivia Newton John film version which I haven't seen since 1982. But that's not the weirdest part...

My husband got a promotion at his job today. So proud of him! It's been a good day.
