@foggy I absolutely agree. The separation allows one focus on front end and back needs respectively rather than blending them together. I feel like this will result in quality pieces over the long term that are easier to maintain/expand.
After much heavy thought and carving out some space from the day gig, I decided I'm gonna make Fipamo headless.
I really like the idea of letting people choose whatever front end framework they want rather than forcing them to work with whatever I cook up.
I'll probably make the default front end theme an example of what I would do, but in the end I want people to use whatever they want and just let Fipamo handle auth and data.
ARE there any nonprofit vegan orgs whose purpose is to educate low income folks and those in poverty on how to cut meat? I can tell you as someone who grew up food insecure, it's hard to find those resources out there when you're living on hot checks.
But I think it might be a valuable service to offer, but I can't seem to find one. I think it'd be a lot more useful than yelling at people because they "totally can afford veganism."
It's hard to find a good basketball podcast that actually talks about the game and it's not just a group of unathletic white dudes nit picking about bullshit that largely doesn't matter.
And I feel you. We know that isn't true and we don't have to reach as far as Ms. Biles to prove that out. Like I said before, her just moving forward is an accomplishment in and of itself.
A lot of people want to believe being a survivor is the end of the story and it isn't. That's just non-sense pushed by people that don't give a fuck anyway.
I'm just taken aback by her dominance. She really is one of the all time greats.
@denikombucha And those people are going to have to deal with their own need to deny the humanity of a young women for the sake of a sexual predator that targeted kids.
That takes nothing away from what Ms. Biles has done or is. In fact, like you said, it does the opposite and provides us even more insight into her and why she should be way more celebrated than she is.
But that is for them to wrestle with as it does not define Ms Biles or tarnish what she has accomplished.
@denikombucha I don't feel anyone wants to deny those facts here, no matter what the popular narrative.
All of those details contribute to why Ms. Biles is who she is, regardless of her athletic achievement, which are insanity.
The fact she kept pushing forward is an incredible story in and of itself. It just so happens she's one of the best athletes this country has ever produced as well.
@denikombucha We definitely agree on that. They shouldn't.
And I understand that to a certain extent, but don't downplay yourself, You are a strong person. Acknowledging that doesn't make the souls that you know that haven't gotten to where you are any less deserving. It just is what it is.
We both know survival isn't solely defined on how capable, amazing, smart, etc, we are. Sometimes even the best of us have troubles. We live in a fucked up society.
@denikombucha Yeah, I get all that, but they still are who they are no matter what our bullshit society does to try and devalue them. That's something that cannot be taken away from them by anyone.
I'm with you. I wish we did nurture talent but not as we do with men's because theirs a trail of broken bodies on that side as well. Men are just lauded more because of the sexist society we exist in, even when we don't perform, which is non-sense.
That sentiment can be extended virtually all marginalized communities, so I feel you. Part of me wonders what could have been as well.
But in the case of talents like Venus, Rapinoe, Biles, Serena etc, it's hard for me to not recognize what is in that context. By all accounts, none of them should exist in light of what women have to endure in this country.
Yet, these miracles keep happening again and again.
