This aren't injured people incapable of learning and evolving. They are *choosing* to not only be hateful pieces of shit, but to pass on that legacy to their children.

Trying to debate or reach out to people that are choosing hate is pointless.

And we as a people have wasted more than enough to trying to appeal to the humanity of white people who have conditioned themselves against it.

@ash Baldiwn specifically is what informs my views about the patterns of behavior in white American culture. They just *don't* stray from the script. Ever.

I feel like Baldwin was one of the key American voices warning us, me and you, about how treacherous the white American consciousness really is, much to his own detriment.

Baldwin is one of the main reasons why I'm adamant on how I handle bigotry.

Although I will say it feels like our fediverse efforts need to expand past Masto and Plemora.

We just need more than either of those projects are willing to give.
