To those of my friends on here having to put up with shitty family, to those that don't like this holiday season or for those just having a bad time right now.
I hope this brightens up your day just a little to remember this wonderful fact.
@Si1997 Yeah, they are. This is how South Dakota effectively banned abortion— if no one does the work to fight it, the law can’t be overturned as unconstitutional. The fuckers know exactly that their laws are illegal, but they trust that they’ll “save babies” (read: destroy existing lives) in the meantime.
@Si1997 They didn’t ban abortion outright, just post-12 week dilation and evacuation... and who is to stop them without a lengthy and expensive legal battle? That’s what I mean about keeping us busy, ground down, and broke.
This is how they keep us busy, ground down, and broke— someone now has to fight this. Many people who can’t afford another child, who may already be working 16 hour days, 7 days a week, with no paid leave and no health insurance, will now have to travel, with limited funds, to other states to access medical care.
Fuck this and donate to abortion access funds in Ohio.

I am trying to find good vegan food blogs, and it feels like they all fit into 1 of 3 categories:
1) Attempts to make vegan versions of comfort/junk food I don't even like when it's not vegan
2) Is all ~*thinspirational*~ with shit like "no bake, gluten free, protein rich post work out 'cookie-dough' bites" and "clean eating" language that is hella triggering for someone, like me, who has a history of disordered eating
@dankwraith It's that way for all media criticism these days. There's no actual criticism, it's just a paragraph or 4 that boils down to answering "spend money, y/n?"
But! I’m really excited to finally get it all done and have a home that I can bring people into without feeling like it’s a cluttered, tiny mess, AND we’re not having to spend an extra $500-750/month on rent to upgrade to a 2 br in order to accommodate my office space.
Also, it has always been my dream to live in a place where the walls were lined from floor to ceiling with books.
So, the last few days, we’ve made a concerted effort to make our home (of almost 3 years) more cozy by taking better advantage of the space... starting with super tall bookshelves in the living room, more vertical storage for everything, and we’re going to repaint the bedroom to be a more soothing terra cotta instead of the bright mandarin orange it has been.
Of course, I was sick for the first 2 days and now my partner is sick, and we absolutely can’t do this things alone.
