@xj9 be that as it may, it really looks like great political violence is going to be visited upon them from the government and from the right, has *been* visited upon some of them, and they aren't going to take it sitting down. that's where this is coming from.

@xj9 i'm not saying you're fascists, but i think the thing is that they think you're stooges for the fascists and that is just as bad.

and one could argue that the shit has already been started. we have a mussolini-wannabe in the presidency rolling back rights and protections for trans people, we have people literally being run over at a protest because they believed the wrong thing and a right-winger did something about it, and other examples out there.
