Hi fediverse!
I want to feed my feed reader.
What are your favorite blogs?
It's cool to suggest your own blogs too!I'm interested in a lot of things and always happy to learn new stuff, but here are a few buzzwords:
#queer #disability #science #math #infosec #cryptography #knitting #sheep #autistic #neurodiversity #enby #politics #selfcare #bulletjournal #nature #outdoor #hiking #animals
I'm looking for german and english sources, but I'm happy to improve my french and polish by reading.
Thanks!

@soft_chomps someone discovered that the pure circlejerk power of gamers fawning over an in-development space game is a near-limitless source of money and are milking it for all its worth

@ninjawedding idk how it is with wasabi but DO doesn't support bucket CNAMEs yet, but objects are accessible from bucket.region.digitaloceanspaces.com/object/path/here so i just have my nginx proxy to that domain. doesn't really matter to the client if DO supports TLS or not (they do) because the client's just connecting over TLS to my server

@ninjawedding basically you need either a CNAME for the bucket or an nginx rule on your server that proxies from static.yourdomain to the object storage service, and then you can use the S3_CLOUDFRONT_HOST variable with the value static.yourdomain and it'll just work™

LB if you're recommending mastodon to a friend consider recomnmending a specific instance rather than the giant joinmastodon list -- you'll likely know what's a good culture fit for them better than an RNG!
(the same instance as you is always an option, especially if your instance is on 2.1 and has enabled invite links!)

"new year, new me" i say, as my skin recedes and splits, my bones cracking, my skull splitting in twain, new and unfathomable appendages writhing in the ecstatsy of creation. "out with the old and in with the new"

@lizardsquid if you want to take a low level approach, i recommend skimming through handmade hero. it's a video series where a game engine dev walks through development of a simple 2d and later 3d game but without using any libraries, so he has to dig down into every topic that you might need to know about when writing an engine yourself:
you don't need to watch every episode (there's a ton!) but if you're confused about a topic then it's a handy reference
