@garbados@iliana also afaik they haven't standardized the part where wasm code can talk to the DOM and other stuff in JSland so you kinda have to use it mostly for CPU intensive processing and maybe gpu webgl stuff
my parents have this old version of monopoly from the dotcom boom that's themed with web 2.0 startups and it's always fun to play it once every few years and count the number of companies which still exist
- javascript is also increasingly being abused by companies that recognize its universality to deliver javascript programs that enable tracking and abuse of my computing environment - this behavior is being enabled by websites that should be able to work without javascript nonetheless requiring js and failing silently without it
