@noelle hundreds of years from now, the descendents of the original animators will still be creating holostories set in the toy story universe. woody will have become a legendary figure unto odysseus, doomed to travel the wine-dark roads, getting into magically realist animus hijinks in an eternal cycle of decay and renewal. a neverending toy story
y'know, those 5d movie experiences that were in vogue in the mid to late 2000s were not technically false advertising. smell and motion (or whatever they added to the "movie experience") are in fact additional parameters that can vary independently of the plane of the projection screen.

http://strangehorizons.com/non-fiction/columns/freshly-rememberd-kirk-drift/ "Kirk Drift" makes an interesting argument: that despite Star Trek TOS being steeped in the sexism of its time, Kirk's reputation as a womanizer is mostly a retroactive reclamation by 80s-90s nerds seeking to bend him into a prototypical modern action hero and normalize a specific contemporary brand of nerd sexism.
@mirzaba suspended shitasstits.life. when we suspend an instance, records of the users that the local instance knew of there are kept for what i assume are technical reasons. hence why they still show up in a search. all other information associated with those users, including their posts, are deleted.
@zoe yep. except it's already backfired and people in the comments like "uhhhh i can't follow this video past 3 minutes in because the ui changed more..."
