@klaatu I actually loaded one called epubreader. It is simple and braindead, kind of like me. I tried nov.el, it looks really neat but I couldn't get it to work but once.

UGH! I have to go to the proprietary side of the computer for a little while. Pray for me whilst I sojourn in the land of sinners and crap programmes.

$EMPLOYER is Google-centric. Kind of hard to turn off JavaScript and cookies when it is needed for a paycheck.

As I sit here pondering my set-up I think that the only things keeping me from "living in #emacs" are a multimedia player and email. Some of the other things on my wish list are "nice to haves" but not really essential. SO- once I am done setting stuff up I think that I will have naught but emacs, Firefox, whatever is needed for multimedia, and librecad (which is my drafting proggie for work.)

Even though the computer was off I guess that I am a computer junkie... Following the advice of @andyc I have loaded #elfeed and #magit in to my darling little #emacs

I think that I will turn off my brain and computer and watch some old #Stargate_SG1 episodes.

Ragnabbit! $EMPLOYER just told me that everything I have been working on for the last two days is WRONG. Not my fault but still wrong. I wish he'd get his head in the game. We have too much work for this nonsense

@PinkCathodeCat @andyc I never could exit vi or vim. I just rebooted. ;-)

@andyc I think the first time I played with #emacs was when I switched to GNU/Linux back in 2006. I didn't get serious about it until 4 or 5 years ago.
