@rosbo i am discovering that a lot of sites work well without JavaScript.

But, having said that, I am not necessarily opposed to JS. I am training as a #webdev so I am learning to code in JS. On a personal level, as opposed to professional, I am more interested in worthwhile content than flashy and/or interactive drivel. Unlike a lot (most?) people the glamour wanes for me if there is not substance to back it up.

Plus a bunch of the advertising seems to come through JS... And I despise ads

@maiki Ditchng the phone is such a cool idea. About three years ago I ditched mine. I only made it about six months and then a family member got sick and I needed to be contactable 24/7 until they eventually passed. I need to get the gumption to do what you are doing again.

@LeoKnepper Yeah we have to buy a new every year or so. I stopped using the yuppie coffee maker (Keurig) when we went through 2 in a year.

@LeoKnepper Most of my coffee is made in a French Press these days and those are smaller than most normal.

The Girl on the Train might very well be the best #audiobook I have listened to. (And for new followers I listen to more than 100 a year.)

The first couple of hours of Gone Girl is almost as good as the opening The Girl on the Train.
