@jonw Unfortunately Write Freely is just not enough for what I like to do with my blog.
I'm looking over a few solutions but to find something that can mirror the experience...I don't think that's going to be possible without a lot of work.

@lnxw48a1 @geniusmusing Sorry, it was troubles with mariadb that was making this difficult. Anchor was fine
@njha hnng, I'm sure the markdown editor would find a way to muck up what I want to do. It's just so fucking hard when you just one a single line break and not two, but you also don't want to have the heading style applied to the entire paragraph....then you switch back to the visual editor and all your changes are erased.
@geniusmusing Screw it, going with the docker install
@sophia plz no 🙌
@sophia Well from RMS' perspective the BSD license is sort of non-free :P
@sophia You truly are insufferable :P
@sophia omg you are insufferable XD
Thank you @amolith for telling me about the Gitea dark theme :D
@sophia I know you've been trolling for a while with this stuff but I'm glad you finally made a serious post about your stance :)
Just an aside, there IS a FOSS alternative to Google Home that I believe you can even self-host. It's called MyCroft. I tried it about a year ago and it seemed pretty good, just my microphones aren't very perceptive from far and so I had to just go without 🤷♂️
Scary stuff going on here in Montreal. One of our subway lines was even down for several hours, it was crazy packed in the busses. Much more than usual
@malin The webapp is not just going to be a front-end, it's also going to be a server with an endpoint API and designed to be self-hosted. It's moreso my foray into the world of coding and I would feel much more comfortable building something from scratch than working with an existing codebase
@sophia She's like "I ain't cute, see???"
Once I get my homelab all set up with NextCloud, and Kodi or whatever, I'm gonna start that damn Todo list webapp that I've been thinking of for the longest time
the plural of Windex is Windices
@codesections @codeLilac I would have gone with @ linuxliaison but I just couldn't resist the chance to get my name!
@emsenn I'll have to take a look at what Org-mode is as a whole as I've seen it around the Linux community for a while
@rowens I see your point and I can understand where the user might be surprised yeah
I agree on giving that recommendation
@rowens Unless you're actually pressing any modifier keys, the only time I see a POLA violation is when you're clicking and dragging from or to a different target drive from that of the source. EG: moving a file from C:\ to D:\. In that case, Windows will make a copy but not delete the original.
This applies for moving files to a network location as well such as an SMB share
@emsenn @codesections oh my goodness yeah of course the MD version of links is better. Point of MD is to make plain text versions of documents something that's still legible and semi-clean, so MD certainly achieves that one
