3 computers replaced, and old data backed up, an additional computer picked up for decom, a second monitor installed for another user, and for yet another user, network connectivity issue fixed. This was in the span of 4 hours, I'm pretty fucking proud of myself :3

Hi Cassidy, I'm a FLOSS Beauty enthusiast and I'm going through the world of FLOSS trying to find designs and UXs that are appealing to the end user, and not just the FLOSS community. I was wondering if you'd be willing to answer a few questions for a profile on elementaryOS and the design ecosystem you have going.

Someone just called me who knew me by name but I didn't know them. It was so difficult to hear them, from the bits of what I understood it sounded like a job offer. In the end I declined but they continued and started "I don't understand why you're not interested"

I hung up instantly. Some sales tactics are not to be confused with recruitment strategy.

also, this description for a display replacement is disappointing: "This is a replacement LCD for the iBook G3 Clamshell. There are a few different revisions based on the brand display cable you have. The brand is usally written on the cable very near to the connector. They are not interchangeable between brands."

@SuperFloppies Hmm, yeah considering it's so thicc, I might be able to get away with one of those USB battery banks. Then the next problem might be finding the right LCD or use existing with a converter

@pezzoDiPeco Huh, I've heard of other SBCs but not this one. This is pretty much what I was looking for when I would say "a more powerful raspberry pi" in conversation. Super nice specs for $50. Could probably run PlexMediaServer flawlessly (including encoding video)

I kinda wanna gut one of those old clamshell MacBooks and stick a raspberry Pi in it.

I'm sure the batteries are gone at this point though.

They say "the" is the most used word in the English language, but I venture that if we restrict that to spoken English, that would change to "umm"

@feoh @SuperFloppies exactly, I had lots of problems with my ex on that front. I think the worst part though is when they're diagnosed with a specific mental illness but yet completely deny the diagnosis and ignore the prescribed medicine.

It was difficult to separate what's the illness and what's her personality.

@SuperFloppies I'm sorry to hear about that. I know how that feels and it's not something to be taken lightly.

Took me a while to stop blaming myself completely and realize that she wasn't contributing very much to the relationship in the first place
