Honestly consent should be a part of every interaction between two beings. Forcing interaction, sexual or no, intimate or no, is still a violation. There are degrees of severity of course.

To those that celebrate Merry $_Holiday, I hope your day is one of family, friends, joy and connection.

To those who do not, or can not I hope today is tolerable. Society can be a bastard, pushing Xmas, specifically, as something everyone should, must want to celebrate. It’s all over the media, it’s in the shops. This can be really difficult to deal with, I know. So if you don’t want to, can’t, or simply don’t celebrate, I hope today can be like any other day.

Either way, peace be with you.

I was concerned last night, it had spread a lot. So I went back to hospital, they gave me IV antibiotics, and I have to return again later today to check if they worked.

I am the fun times. 🙃

I'll see how it is tomorrow. If it continues like this or gets worse I'll get back to hospital like the doctor suggested. It seems the negative effects are worse in the morning so it might just be because I don't take the medication while I'm asleep

Seems to have grown over night, expanding up my nose to just next to my eye, cant see anything there, but it feels raised, warm and painful like the rest of the nose.

Also feel like I'm going vomit if I stand too long.

This is all boo :-(

Fun fact about the replicators
They're based on transporter technology, specifically molecular materialisation. This allows them to take the raw undifferentiated matter in the ship's storage and materialise it into the requested pattern.

What's in the matter storage? Well the molecular materialisation also works in reverse, so uneaten food, cutlery etc good back into the replicator. But also, the ship recycles all waste.
So, yes. The crew is eating reconstituted poop.

I'm fairly sure a lot of the writers treated them like that. An opportunity to do something weird and/or fun that the setting may not necessarily allow.
Though there's also ST:ENT's 'In A Mirror Darkly' two parter due a true AU story :-P

It is plausible that you could use a holodeck as a workshop using photonic tools on materials you bring into the holodeck, or even program it to replicate the materials to be worked on so you can remove them from the holodeck once finished. >

Yep, replicators and holodecks both use elements of transporter technology. Specifically molecular materialisation. Both the replicators and holodeck store patterns that can be materialised from the ship's matter storage to become food or objects. The holodecks also use holographic recreations utilising both photonic manipulation and forcefields so something can both look and feel real. Characters are photonic, but objects can be either photonic or replicated >

Was just DM'd on Twitter for my opinion of the idea of 'white racism' because I'm a 'liberal' and they wanted my take. *raises eye* Okay... But, why me? I've never described myself as a liberal, nor have I spoken much about racism (mostly because as a white person my voice doesn't add anything meaningful)... Weird

Which interest do I want to focus on? Stuff like that. I followed a friend to my instance here so I kinda cheated :P

I have a queer platonic relationship with my wife. ... Yeah that might seem weird. But she's one of the most important people in my life, we love each other, but we don't have a sexual or romantic relationship. She's straight asexual and monogamous, and I'm pan demisexual and polyamorous.
