@GuerillaOntologist Here's an update on that (the book, not the podcast). After many months of radio near-silence on my translations, I've been able to set up gitit at May First, and I've already uploaded the other book I'm working on, about the BAUEN hotel in Buenos Aires. The Cooperative Man will be going up soon. Also, @Matt_Noyes is working on chapter 7 of TCM.

@rotatingskull Just like quesadillas are burritos, and also tacos. And quiche is just a frittata in a shell, which itself is just a glorified omelet.

I'm really turned off by "grassroots groups" that constantly ask me to donate as the only way to support x cause. #nonprofitindustrialcomplex

@cathal @risabee The Espresso actually tried to use its propietary nature as a selling point. Meanwhile, I can't find any sign that anyone is trying to design an open version.

@gc Right, it gives you one book at a time. Are any open design communities working on something along these lines?

This is very difficult to search for, so I'll ask here... Has anyone seen plans for an on-demand book printer (not a 3D printer)?

I'm hoping Bryan Conlon will be joining us here on social.coop, as you'll have lots to talk about. Bryan is a union organizer in North Carolina with an interest in cooperatives. He has developed a compelling strategy for building a material basis for sustainable working-class struggle rooted in the union cooperative model, called the "commonwealth network":

@jjg @h Okay, that part is tricky. But there are various podcasts available that come out once a week, or once a month, or whatever. And Mastodon does have some #esperanto speakers.

@jjg @h If you want to learn a second language on principle, go with Esperanto. It's by far the most logical, and has the lowest learning curve.
