@sowth Agreed. Also, when I'm named God Emperor of All I Survey, I will mandate standards for privacy policies. They may only consist of tags like "#sellyourdata" or "#keepnologs", where each of those has a strict legal meaning. Then you can visually scan the policy in about 3 seconds to see if it's something you care about.

@copyleftie I strongly identified with my upbringing until maybe ten years ago, and now it’s another world that I’m no longer a part of - and don’t want to be. I feel much more connected to my new home than my old.

(Tek Jr was too young to really remember Timmy, so I was a lot more upset than he was.)

I couldn’t help it, and started cracking up and crying at the same time. And then he figured out why I was cackling and sobbing. “Dad, I’m so sorry.” “Please don’t be. That was the funniest thing anyone possible could have said. I needed that."

Today they arrived, and when I saw the box, I instantly started choking up. Tek Jr in the other room saw me get a package and shouted out imitating Brad Pitt in “Seven”: “What was in the box? What’s in the bbbboooxxxx?”
