Some interesting companies stopping their services "because of GDPR".

Like a IoT lightbulb ... a lightbulb ... or razer mouse program. This is crazy.

@MightyPork But can we actually please not? Next thing you need a rich text editor, categories, edit history, collaborative writing

    Stop

Keep software simple and concerns separated. It's already pretty great that a macroblogging software can be part of the same network as a microblogging software

    ...

If it is easier to kick someone out than to go through a difficult series of conversations with them, it is not a community. Among the societies that had real communities, exile was the most extreme sanction possible, tantamount to killing them. On many levels, losing the community and all the relationships it involved was the same as dying. Let’s not kid ourselves: we don’t have communities."

@klaatu @davidpgil seeing how society works these days, we'll get clickbait title instead of real one.

Moreover, it's an UX nightmare. What if the user want to always have them expanded but still collapsed for real CW contents.

As if macro viruses weren't enough now we can worry about spreadsheets having crypto-mining malware.

one of the things i forget to do pretty often is visualize good outcomes, but it's so helpful to me to do so

i think it's important though to give yourself that chance though, to consider what it looks like if the things that worry you work out

they might be more possible or likely than you think

i certainly wish i'd listened when i was first taught this

@Balor 2021(b) Left a voicemail with your spouse that you'd be working late. Based on the psychological profile from your email and social media, your assistant discussed with other bots (.1 millisecond long conversation - very long with lots of deliberation) and the group decided you were unhappy with that relationship but couldn't admit it and needed a change.

    @rice @ivesen

Might be. People are scared of people speaking their mind freely, they don't conform to the usual rules, you don't know what they are going to say.

To that you can add a little bit of jealousy since you're able to say what they think too but they can't do since they fear beeing rejected by the rest of mainstream.

It's interesting how the internet turned from freedom to say what you think to politically correctness.

@rice I would add those people were/are usually introvert and found in the online communities a way to express themselves. And decided that they are introvert because they are misunderstood not because they have difficulty to talk to other people.

What's fun about SJW is when they take a "cause" and fight for it when the "victim" doesn't see the point. Like with the whole Mario Odyssey and the Mexican hat.

Or lately a prom Chinese dress on a white girl.

Open Source voice assistant #Mycroft (yes an actual open source alternative of Amazon Alexa and Google Home) has not only almost hit 800% of its Indiegogo funding in Feb, but has recently switched to #Mozilla's #DeepSpeech project.

Deep Speech is just one of over a hundred projects taking part in #MozSprint May 10-11. They're especially seeking voices of NON ENGLISH speakers.

More new contributors added to these open projects = more real world innovative alternatives.
