read another "controversial" blog post about software. this one was about bow feature branches are bad for CI and I think I am finally figuring out that I could be one of these thought leadering bozos except it never occurs to me to explain eg. how branches complicate CI.

The remastered Cocteau Twins: Treasure isn't worth the price of admission, if I'm being honest. It's maybe a tiny bit fuller and clearer than the US domestic CD; the bass is rounder. But the harsh 80s high-gain mixing is still present, which probably means it was present on whatever tapes they went back to for this mix. There's still the occasional bump up against red lines when the wailing guitars threaten to overwhelm.

It sounds great on vinyl, but then the original sounded great anyway!
