@SierraKiloBravo I think you'e right; that it's easier to put a number on a already-employed demographic. One of the things that seems insincere about this is typically the left has talked about abortion as a greater good because the poor babies will grow up in poverty, be a drain on society, and generally be a net negative, but all of the sudden with DACA people have value, people are net contributors and all that. Hypocrites the lot of 'em.
@SirDonOfTaintsville You'll be grilling everything in your freezer next. Hope they get you back up quickly but something tells me you guys are going to have a couple tough weeks. We lost power back in March due to high winds and I was down five days. Eventually borrowed a generator to keep the heat on. Good luck and #TYFYC
Great suggestion, Chris. BTW, I've never heard of Jerry Robinson. Just listening now to see what you're talking about.
Thanks for the compliment on my take. I agree about the approach of some. I don't like the way we (Christians) tend to use "the afterlife" as an excuse to check out of this one. Want the pod to help folks have a different perspective.
I'm a former Catholic, FWIW; alter boy, Catholic school. Been a long time, tho. Peace!
@SLRock Thanks, brother. I'm seriously glad to know you liked it. I wasn't that happy with it when I put it out, but I've gotten a lot of positive feedback. I'm already working on the next one!
I started reading "Raven Rock: The Story of the U.S. Government’s Secret Plan to Save Itself--While the Rest of Us Die" and it's everything I hoped for. Tons of stuff on Continuity of Government. The admission that Civil Defense was bullshit and citizens would be better off dead if the nukes flew. I'm maybe a quarter of the way through and it's a real page turner. If you like nukes, disaster type stuff, and secret bunkers you need to read this. Message me privately for a deal...
@SierraKiloBravo So, the money lost is much greater when we look at almost 60 million aborted than almost 800,000 potentially deported. And, the inequity is greater, in that an aborted baby loses its life whereas a DACA just gets shipped off. BTW, I'm not saying one is fine and the other not, just asking where the outrage is and claiming it's faux outrage.
@SierraKiloBravo Sure. First, I think it's generally fair since we're talking about inequity when folks decry the treatment of DACA folks—"it's not fair, they deserve a chance, they did nothing wrong". The same could be said for the unborn. But, my specific point, made poorly, lol, is that the left says we'll lose billions by deporting DACAs, but how about the untold trillions we've lost by killing our own, assuming as person generates value/wealth.
@PhoneBoy I've done a fast here and there for spiritual reasons and always was glad for the experience, but never for health. More and more I'm convinced that it's a great option to add to one's lifestyle. It's the first 6 or 8 hours that seem to be the hardest!
