    I was watching the #SFGiants versus #LADodgers on #ESPN, when they just left the game and showed little highlights of various sports. I care not about the NBA draft or pro field hockey. I turned on the TV to watch !baseball.

    My brother and I will likely put together a thing that narrows down/sorts apartment complexes in our city according to their proximity to public transit lines.

    I feel like general tools that let people do this would be a nontrivial factor in whether people decide to use public transit and decrease their transportation-bourne carbon footprint.

    #WordOfTheDay

    terrine

    /təˈriːn/
    noun
    A meat, fish, or vegetable mixture that has been cooked or otherwise prepared in advance and allowed to cool or set in its container, typically served in slices.
    mass noun ‘wedges of terrine’

    Origin
    Early 18th century (denoting a tureen): from French, literally ‘large earthenware pot’, from terrin ‘earthen’.

    ==========

    I suppose peach cobbler, served cold does not qualify as a terrine. Still, I've never developed a taste for pork pie.

    If you use Debian, Ubuntu, Fedora, or Slint, the Orca screen reader is already included. It's in Trisquel, too, but that version is quite old, and doesn't work as well with Firefox 60 and beyond. Chromium accessibility with Orca is in the early stages of development and testing. For Windows, there is a free screen reader called NVDA, and for OSX, there is Voiceover, already included.

    Jenny and Sue scooched over to make room for Sally on the couch. They planned to gossip all night while the boys hovered around them.

    We need more "cuddle close; don't fight" all year. Thanks for the semi-annual maintanence/upgrade schedule!

    The Orca screen reader already describes structures like block quotes and lists, and their nesting levels. Just mark things up properly, and you shouldn't have trouble. If possible, use a screen reader to read your content, and check that is spoken as you intend.
