    Also not having been to either place but close approximates, say southern states (or Chicago in August) during hot/humid summer and Las Vegas during a hot/not humid July, I can say I would prefer dry heat. We in the PNW are looking at a week of heat starting today (93F/~34C) peaking Tuesday at 100F/~38C and then finally tapering off until next Monday when it finally gets below 90F/~32C, fortunately, the humidity will be pretty low, not Vegas dry but much more tolerable than humid locations.
