    Yesterday there was a steam bug that, through an exploit, allowed you hear your friends mic without even being in voice chat with them.

    Let this be a gentle reminder to everyone:

    UNPLUG YOUR MICS AND WEBCAMS WHEN THEY AREN'T IN USE

    Got this #instance running on 2.4.3 now. If you jump from 2.4.0 to 2.4.3 the database migration will fail unless you do the fix mentioned in the issue, or update at each version.

    Ok going from 2.4.0 to 2.4.3 broke something during git rebase where I fold in the postgresql FTS changes.

    Looks like that will need some more work to get going.

    @lattera should be called whatever()

    If in doubt, just add more overloading to ioctl()

    I know some folks like to put SSH on port 443 so they can SSH to the host from very restrictive networks that block outbound port 22 and 443 is a port that is unlikely to be blocked because its the default HTTPS port.

    Net-snmp has a new version out so this weekend I'll be getting the new #debian packages ready for it. Looks like the openssl API problem is fixed and a bunch of patches also won't be needed.

    I've decided I'll use the same workflow for patches as the other packages I maintain. I hate patch-queue or I'm too stubborn to learn a different way

    @Mainebot I'm curious about that process.

    I always thought fiction writing the author got and idea, got some publisher to give it the nod and off they went.

    I never thought there were help wanted advertising for fiction writing. This is from my exactly zero knowledge on how any publishing works.
