Hey @fl0wn, do you think that you could restart @thatbrickster's account? I don't seem to be getting his posts over here. I also wouldn't mind learning how to do a command like that myself. Hmm.
@jessica I thought mastodon did its own thing in its own language... ruby or something. If I asked for mastodon and got GS, there be something to that but I asked for GS. x_x
@dtluna @guizzy I think it is the overall design of it. It is visually appealing to me and familiar. It comforts me. I can't really explain it... it is an emotional thing. When I feel distressed, I come back here. Plus I've been doing that on twitter for years. Not just any interface will do though. :/ When I look at pleroma, it is just too different. It misses the little details like all the icons/buttons that you can use, the features here, where the information is... it doesn't function in the same way. It's not familiar enough. It is fair to say that I would prefer qvitter 2.0 but the complete version.
@guizzy Well, I guess this is why I said that I wished I could be a genius programmer so I could decipher it all and make it work in a more concise and less bloaty manner. LOL. * Stares longingly *
@guizzy Also, I wouldn't want to create a Qvitter FE for Pleroma BE now because it is apparent to me that it wouldn't be welcomed. I think they would rather take pleroma in a different direction which is what has happened. I wouldn't feel very comfortable, basically.
@guizzy Well... a part of me did wonder. I can't remember what it was that I was trying to learn before but a different language might work out better, you know? So I started to longingly read the install file for GS to get a better idea. I wouldn't have a way to experiment though. u_u
