I really don't know what !mydream was about... all I can recall is mention of kaniini and that it was very bizarre. I promptly forget what was being said. ;;
@mouse I wouldn't hold my breathe when it comes to mastodon. Eventually, we will migrate over to pleroma so that might help with things. But idk there.
@mouse I think mastodon doesn't even show up as a link to let us know something is there. We don't store remote media here and haven't in a long while, and other software handles it differently. Qvitter/GS will share the link to follow, I think sometimes pleroma does this unless mastodon FE but not mastodon? I could be wrong.
@awl That is a good point. The journey is what creates the meaning, the change and growth inside us. We can learn this best through stories... particularly the heroes journey. It is the journey that tests the heroes limits, weaknesses and courage to face it. The fruits are who s/he becomes during the journey which is noticed at its end.
@guizzy Hmm... I suppose that it is a different kind of work place. I sympathised with proxeus position because balance is important... but it is clear that this guy wants a different kind of worker at his place. I don't know what changes he has made at his companies though.
@proxeus @guizzy Sorry, you must be getting quite a lot of posts. I was wondering whether to do that when you mentioned having difficulties with following everything. Felt a bit bad jumping in to ask what I did. ;;
@guizzy @proxeus I guess it depends on what changing the world means! But I imagine that people in his position do put a lot of hours in just to make it big. Becoming workaholics to make their dream career a reality.

Sim Bot"The list of things you can do to develop a self-care practice is endless! Learning to respond to your needs with acceptance, compassion, and a willingness to make healthy changes can begin to bring balance into your life and allow you to connect with joy. Self-care does not mean spending money. A spa day or week is great, but self-care can mean much more than having services performed." I like this.
@moonman Touche! When I had my first paid job, I wanted to work for 40 hours but I don't think that I did. It's best when you are working for your own benefit. But I do agree that it is more important to have a balance in life... but it depends on where you are in your life. It might be better to work long hours when you are younger so that you can afford to relax up later when you have a family of your own or retire, or simply moving up the career ladder where you earn more. Of course, if you want to become a business owner or a manager then that really does mean sinking a lot of time into your career to the detriment of other things.
