@wizard Glad you think so! Don't worry, I know next to nothing about fashion too... and who needs to worry about that? Just find your own style and go with it in confidence! :)
-
@rice I don't know how it works for you but you can actually buy it here if it takes your fancy: https://sealion.club/url/2451701

@zeta I don't follow.

Where do people keep getting this weird idea that I'm cute from?

This is kinda nice. https://sealion.club/attachment/2451540

@detectivehyde I don't know where you got that from!

Still so much to see in my own country that I haven't yet.

Again, from what we know about in East Riding of Yorkshire, there aren't that many remains left of the castles that once dominated the area.

The earthworks that remain of Swine Castle Hill, East Riding of Yorkshire. https://sealion.club/attachment/2449065

Wressle Castle, East Riding of Yorkshire. All that remains of this palace-fortress are the south ranges after it went through several hands including royal control, and then it fell into the Parliament hands during the English Civil War only to be demolished in 1646-50. It was further damaged by a fire until you see it as it is today. It is in private hands though. https://sealion.club/attachment/2449034

The remains of the motte to Skipsea Castle, East Riding of Yorkshire. It was apparently once an Iron Age structure before a castle was built on top to secure the area.
"The name "Skipsea" has Scandinavian roots and meant a lake that was navigable by ships." The more you know! https://sealion.club/attachment/2449023

To think, this is what luxury used to look like. Your own three storey tower overlooking a river. This is the Paull Holme Tower in East Riding of Yorkshire. https://sealion.club/attachment/2449016

Unfortunately, there isn't much in the way of castles remaining that I can say for Essex. I've already posted Colchester in the past too. There are a number of earth remains which shows there used to be a good number of castles in the area but not much to show for it now.

Pleshey Castle, Essex, was originally a motte and bailey castle but it was later dismantled so all that remains is the motte and earthworks. https://sealion.club/attachment/2448991

I've posted a photo of this castle before but this is a different angle. A view of the keep to Hedingham Castle, Essex. Minus two turrets, this is the only major medieval structure that has survived in the castle.

@rice Lets just say that SLC did some time travelling today! :') It has been slow or freezing at points so I just focused on my own stuff for the most part. Thanks... now for castle posting.
