All this book reading really does give me an idea about my reading preferences though. What makes me slower in reading, and what enables me to be quicker.

Alas, I find myself now wanting to do something other than reading... give my wrists a break. But at least the book I mentioned before is finished.

Perhaps this system of taxation has more to do with the divide between the rich and poor than we'd like to think, mostly how we're losing the middle class...

The government "could tax private cars according to how much they're driven." Wut? This makes no sense except to impoverish the lower classes even further.

@mangeurdenuage Well, if you have time to be on here then you have time to read a bit. ;) This is basically what I've done. Sometimes I'll read before bedtime too. All depends on when I get the urge to read. Right now, I'm switching between reading and fedi... setting goals before coming back here when I know there is a response.

@mangeurdenuage All the best on finding the inspiration and time to do this! :) If it helps then break it down as small as you need, either think in time management, page numbers or chapters... every bit you read adds up.

Normally I steer clear of books that target women in particular but these days I'm beginning to think I could get some benefits from it. Depending on what it is about.

I've picked up this book called 57 ways to achieve your life goals by David Nicholson because the cover looked interesting and also had "Think Like an Athelete" written on it. I could really do with some tips.

@foxhkron The FE is already finished? Is there a way you can still do something about it yourself or is this an idea for the FE? I get the feeling that if it passes, it would get included if you were able to code it. It is a feature people want.

Who knows how many private groups there are that people use quietly that nobody outside it can see?

Also, I did test private groups on here and didn't see my post using SPC. That is probably a better use than "followers-only". Everyone in the private group can see and reply, and it isn't as breaking as needing to follow or be mutually followed with everyone in the thread to follow the thread.
