@wion here the angle and viewpoint are different, not highly fixated on climate collapse. There is no justifying of militias in it (but urges to understand the phenomena and how it affects the 2Civil War). It does take a lot of research into ongoing civil uprisings/collapses (ie ukraine, syria) and tries to conclude what is likely to happen. it although looks into the closer past, in what happend on US Soil after collapses (i.e. Kathrina).
@wion don't know if you already got to listen to the "it could happen here" podcast about the possible second American civil war. It has a few bits which are applicable to climate breakdown coping too. But it mostly short to midterm thinking/solutioning.
@wion I guess this depends on where you take a look in. Eurasia mostly screwed up, but i.e. soon too be China regulated hunting early on (as far as I know) as well as soon to be India (through religious practices as far as I remember)
Oh, so the countries of the EU could not agree when their much to late date of being carbon neutral will be missed. Lets not pretend that this still matters too much...
TIL: The story of the farmer and gatherer seems to be wrong. The shift from gathering and hunting to agriculture and farming in the first centuries made the food supply more unstable, more unpredictable, instead of more stable and "progressive" as i learned in School (and at the university for that matter). This was told to me by an archaeologist who sat next to me during my train ride.
After you finish with calling customer service, there's that survey where they ask how your experience was with the customer service rep. I'm consistently disappointed that there's never an option for 'the rep was cool, but the managers who implemented the policies the rep has to work with should be reprimanded or fired.'
