@Pixley That would probably be way easier for children and for people who use wheelchairs. I'm tall but as long as I can reach without bending over I'm pretty happy.

@masu I haven't used it, but I might have a look at doing so, particularly for arrangements. To me it looks like a legit-but-somewhat-antiquated site.

Composers/arrangers only get 70% of the fee, which is... better than most trad publishers, but worse than Bandcamp and Patreon. But if the audience is different it might still be worthwhile for me.

@QwyrdoAD That reminds me of this video, which.sadly does have some misogynist etc language but is otherwise very funny:

Trans and #nonbinary genders are recognised as being real and valid by the NHS and by the UK government.

There’s not two sides to this issue. When there’s a BBC documentary about travel you don’t get flat-earthers on, do you?

Stop inviting anti-trans activists on TV/radio.

Two instructions for journalists and TV/radio presenters looking to make a good piece about #nonbinary people.

    1. Don’t use people’s former names, even if they’re kids or you knew them with a different name.

    2. Don’t invite someone onto the show to debate their identity.

    Reminder:
It suits the super-rich to if the poorest resent anyone who has enough to get by, instead of wanting to change the whole system. It's hard to demolish crapitalism with envy of your neighbour.

It suits the super-rich for people like me to feel guilty for looking after my basic needs, or getting an education that won't make me a more profitable worker, or any such "luxury". It's hard to work to demolish crapitalism with the paralysis of guilt.

sometimes a student mistakenly calls me a professor and I have to correct them by letting them know I'm just a staff person that does research, writes grants, teaches classes, reviews papers, and manages undergrad and grad student work. simple mistake, tho, no harm.

@deerbard In my case, sheet music; in the case of one of my side projects, music recommendations. But art postcards or zines or whatever are also things people might subscribe to.
