Things I carry every day that I leave the house:
Keys, wallet, phone, handkerchief.

Things I carry if I am going a bit further:
Bulletjournal, water bottle, rosary, inhaler, pen, pencil, skin cream, earplugs, hair ties, a scarf, change for buskers and beggars.

Things I carry if I am expecting to be out all day:
Cutlery, headphones, another handkerchief or 2, hairbrush, a book (in case nothing happens), and whatever projects I'm working on at the moment.

What is in your #EveryDayCarry ?

For those of you who write/arrange good old fashioned sheet music: Do you have a go-to service for old-school 9"x12" ("Arch A") printing? Sheet music on US Letter is so cramped, but I can't justify a $300 printer and it seems like most print shops don't offer 9x12. I've found a couple of music-specific services online and will probably ask them for a quote, but given that they don't list prices I'm going to assume they're expensive.

Since Sunbeam is sadly kind of falling apart, may I suggest to any instance admins that don't already have us silenced that you take the :greensun: emoji? As its creator (well, the one who came up with the idea, @scintillatinator did the actual drawing), I disavow it from the white nonsense Sunbeam turned into and hold that it still represents the hopeful and just ideals of #solarpunk

BTW, don't confuse the "womens' art" feed that has sadly turned out to be transphobic with @womensart - that one is run by a trans woman and exclusively boosts the women artists of the Fediverse. In fact, if you're looking for substitutes for the now discredited account, it's a pretty good start.

weirder.earth mod team has agreed to block the account womensart1@tooot.im. It forwards tweets from the Twitter account womensart1.

This account deliberately excludes trans women, & misgendered an agender artist even after corrections were offered. The person behind it hasn't responded well to requests for change, & made very transphobic tweets on a personal account.

Creating your own music, art, movies, books, videogames, podcasts, and stage plays within the US is an act that robs the established power structures of attention.

Making media is an act of radicalism, of protest, and of outright rebellion.

Support local music. Go to a community theater. get a bunch of weird nerds together in a basement and film a talkshow.

Seriously, I was so happy to see that a couple times today. If you can't do it, or you just can't be bothered, it helps me if you say it's not there. It genuinely can feel disappointing or isolating to hope for one and find nothing. Better to know not to expect it.
