I take your point but at the point in time, the left side of the coin doesn't hold a candle to the right side, and especially not to Trump when it comes to outright deception. Doesn't appear close to me.

Pokey, I've been thinking about your comment. I think this is a valid point and those who think they have been unfairly labeled 'Fake News' should fight that label.

Have you noticed that when rich people say someone is now flat broke, it means their salary has been reduced to an amount most people would love to have?

I do my best not to affiliate myself too closely with any organization. This has made some feel I'm standoffish or something like that.

It's just that I consider individual 'things' on their own, rather than part of a whole.

I can like something generally but still not agree with individual things. If those disagreements are minor I'll work to change them or agree to ignore them.

However, if they are significant I'll break ties.

I'm not super, myself. So no big loss for them.

Pokey, it's true that he specifies dishonest reporting. However, when all of thse are included in a blanket statement, the disclaimer is nullified. And also, they didn't assume that, he specified them.

Wasn't much better when Obama criticised Fox News.

The free press is our best friend, not our enemy, plain and simple.

The FAKE NEWS media (failing @nytimes, @NBCNews, @abc, @CBS, @cnn) is not my enemy, it is the enemy of the American People!

On a related topic, if you've had say, "I've known him for years. That's just the way he is. He's not a bigot.", more than twice in defense of a friend or loved one, it might be that the way he is embodies bigotry.
