@penartur thanks! I managed to get it working. The problem was I was re-using the 2FA code I used to login to disable 2FA, instead of using a separate code

Ooh no I haven't. My big deal breaker with custom ROMs is it needs to support a locked bootloader with verified boot and signed OTA updates. It looks like maybe Graphene has that though, at least for some model phones?

I just flashed it earlier tonight but so far its very cool, and works great

Not a fork, but it's similar in that it's AOSP with cool security features like lo led bootloader with verified boot

@freakazoid I thought that it was requiring the original 2FA device and rejecting recovery codes... but I realized actually I was re-using a recovery code. nevermind, I got it sorted

Is it possible to set up a new two-factor authentication device on mastodon.social if I don't actually have the old 2FA device anymore, but I do still have recovery codes? Doesn't look like it...
