@LPS Me too. I tweeted from the blender conference account about the fact that we relayed the news on mastodon but it drowned in the middle of all the conference tweets so it didn't get any attention. This whole thing is fairly new and was done on a very tight schedule. I'm sure it will be better next year (as well as the fediverse software).
@sybren Yep. I thought about you because you posted about Rainmakers, the short documentary on Vimeo. And as you see this project in Burkina was made in collaboration with the Ecosia search engine.
When you grow up, you realize you could really use a time machine to go back to your moments of immense stupidity and bad behavior to punch your younger self in the face. But right now, that kind of moment happened so recently I could just punch myself right away.
@sylvia_ritter Your sweatshirt looks gorgeous, I generally love your art and I'm glad to support libre software users. However, given the materials used and the lack of information given on the Ink Strategies website about where their fabric comes from and whether it has any focus on respect for factory workers, it seems the end product stands quite low on eco-friendliness and fairtradeness, but perhaps you would contradict me? Do you know if the polyester is recycled for example?
"so in the mean time, enjoy your steak, but also respect it"...
Let me just rephrase the ending: "...so in the mean time, why not have a go at a vegan diet? Plenty of people have made the switch and are very healthy and happy about it. Also it's much easier than you probably imagine"
@LPS I'm not sure it's possible in a non destructive way. I think youtube has its own in-house closed-source compressing algorithm so the mp4 you download from there is not the same as the one you uploaded. However there are some services on which you can upload an uncompressed video and they upload it on several video sharing websites. Not sure there's a FOSS one though.
@ted But they're flying to their freedom! No but for real, I imagine being transported in a container on horseback (whatever the hell that is) is more turbulent and may disorient the fish, while a plane has a much smoother route. That's my guess.
@joaompfp according to my research the name of the original game is unknown. A copyrighted version of this game is called "Dingo Disc". You could also call it a suspended version of the Bamboleo. But game librarians mostly call this non-copyrighted version "Big wooden balance game" (grand jeu d'équilibre en bois) because they're very creative 😎
