Is there anyone in #Berlin who could either take care of a dog from tomorrow evening 'til Friday, or who knows a reliable dogsitter? Tobi is 12 and has separation anxiety, so he needs to be around people basically all the time. The person who promised to take care of him is currently a bit too wishy-washy on the topic for my taste and there's no way we can postpone leaving. Thanks dude*ttes!

Trying to re-learn knitting. Never had the patience to do it properly as a kid, nevermind learning anything beyong knit n purl; dropped it like a cigarette butt in front of an official building

If you want your Thing to be user-friendly, especially towards non-tech people, try to implement a way to submit bugs and feature requests that is a) easily reachable (prominently displayed on your site etc) and b) easy to use.

Also let people ask questions about said Thing, preferably privately, and try to fold in the answers in relevant sections (about, guides/tutorials, etc)

Coming again for #advice / #recs - is there a content curation/aggregation tool that is decentralised and open source, but has similar features and ease-of-use to #pocket? Again, #coop would be ideal, but yeah.

I really recommend the app Be My Eyes (google play/appstore), which connects blind & visually impaired users with sighted volunteers, for video calls related to small day-to-day tasks (choosing an item of clothing based on colour, checking expiry dates on food, etc). You are matched by language, and if a volunteer can't pick up a call from someone needing help, someone else will take care of it - calls go out to several volunteers at once. So yeah, great app, free, etc.
