Comrade @lapis just made me think about how in Spanish to say that you speak it well enough you say "me defiendo bien", literally "I can defend myself well", as if foreigners were going to attack you in another language and you had to quickly mount linguistic fortifications to fend them off.

@priryo Uh, I don't know, but that Wikipedia plot summary of High Life sounds really gross and not like a film I want to experience.

Also, I don't know if this is really the most realistic depiction of space travel. We don't explode in depressurised space and those planets must have had a very unique alignment if they were able to visit each of them in turn en route to Neptune and how did that dude not get completely irradiated and cancerous by all that stuff blowing up around him?

But I'm no scientist, maybe all that was realistic too?

So #AdAstra is basically Heart of Darkness... IN SPAAAAAACE! and the director even directly acknowledges that.

I thought I'd pop off my earbuds out of respect for the musician, but I swear they're playing Für Elise on loop, and if it's loops we're listening to, I'd rather go back to my 8-bit Cyndi Lauper.

I'm at a bookstore and someone's playing the piano. I swear that Für Elise and the Moonlight Sonata are the stairway to heaven of public piano playing.

I actually loaded up the ROM and just hit the pause screen so I could hear to this loop endlessly.

I must be simple-minded or something because I enjoy short sequences of beepboops getting endlessly looped. Good background music for #NESdev, I think.
