@davehunt Trisquel 8 is here! I was talking to Ruben and he said that he implemented a feature that you suggested. When you run the installation, the screen reader is on by default, and after a certain amount of time has elapsed without turning it off it will install by default. This sounded like a great thing to me, and I thought it was cool that you suggested it.
Most of them convey no meaning to me, either, what's more, their text descriptions or unicode values, being read aloud by the screen reader, are distracting. Thanks for your spelling lesson; I've thought that word was spelled "i m o g a e", for the plural.
Social media has largely destroyed those outlets, as everyone has their profile on a place where they talk about everything, and are expected to be their whole, authentic, or at least “branded” self, and that’s not only not sustainable, it’s NOT HOW WE INTERACT IN “REAL LIFE.” You are not the same parts of yourself with everyone you know. And that’s not only ok, that’s GOOD AND RIGHT.
Julia Reda: «But it’s important to me to underscore that the solution to bad legal proposals and unbalanced lobbying is not to curse or even advocate leaving the EU. (In fact, it’s Anti-EU, Euro-skeptic and right-wing parties that are responsible for giving these proposals majority support in the Committee! Don’t let Eurosceptic politicians get away with voting in favour of breaking the Internet and then blaming the EU for it later!)» https://juliareda.eu/2018/06/saveyourinternet/
@ChrisTalleras I'm trying to get people to implement RSS/Atom feeds that support RFC5005, which allows the complete history of a comic (or fanfiction or whatever) to be in the feed, instead of the usual standard of only the most recent 10 strips.
I do know how to program, but that's not enough when we want lots of people to adopt the same standard.
