met another #geocacher tonight trying to find a new cache. His eyes opened with recognition as we introduced ourselves. "You're christyotwisty!" then mentions the puzzles I've solved. Gratifying. (Neither of us found the cache.)
What are some #commands for playing all the #music files in a directory that is not the official Music directory? I'm running #Linux and have VLC, Rhythmbox, default player and Clementine
@Zach I feel like that more often. It's hard to find new people because most don't hashtag their interests, and my timezone is such the people fluent in my mother tongue are mostly elsewhere.
@bobjonkmangreen Congratulations! I voted for a Green Party candidate in my riding in October 2015. It looked so much that Ms. May was going to share train travel to Ottawa with a rookie MP or two or three.
National Something Day is usually a US contrivance, so I don't post about it on a daily basis for a global readership. However, January 29 is special because it's: - National Puzzle Day - National Curmudgeons Day - National Freethinker Day
Something for almost everyone! It's also National Corn Chip Day, but practically half the National Days in the US are 'bread product day', 'dessert day', or 'junk carb food day.'
@jeremiah This must be a site issue. I typed 'helpdesk' and my terminal hangs: I can't enter any keyboard input. stat gives me 'lrwx------' plus my userid group, a long number, four datestamps from 2015, a five digit number, 0 0 and the folder I'm locked out of.
If I'm encountering 'Permission Denied errors' on remote #sftp commands, that means there's something wrong with the site I'm connected to, right? I get 'Name or service not known'' errors when I try standard #ftp.
