\o/ sounds great! My first homemade jumper was about 2 years ago and it was a sewing project. I'm not really good at sewing, but the fleece fabric was so easy it turned out great. It is dark blue with green arms and blue/green turtleneck. Next is learnind to work with elastic fabrik and make myself a "Schlummelhose".
Yeah, I think so, too. I think it was the most ambitious project we had. Oh well. I do other stuff, but I think it would be really useful if I could make jumpers or socks myself.
That sounds great.:-) I was supposed to knit a jumper, and I had this mint-colored yarn, I loved mint back then. So I started in school and tried really hard but made a mess. so my teacher would take it apart and start over and knit a few rows for me. then I tried again. She took it apart again. Gave us some rows for homework. At home I tried. My mother took it apart again and did some rows for me. Repeat repeat reapeat. At the end the other kids had made jumpers and I had about 20 centimeters and had done none if it myself.
Yeah, a combination of school and home. Looking back I can chuckle about it a bit but it cured me from knitting for life. I think knitting is very useful, I probably would have picked it up otherwise sooner or later.
It's the same for me. I don't knit but my mom does and she forgets I have no use for them. So any time I get some for Christmas I feel really bad, I love homemade gifts and knitting is an effort.
