    @zemichi @moonman @augustus The problem is that whether it's ancaps or commies, there's the same core belief that there is something fundamentally wrong with western democracies and that drastic action is necessary. Whereas in reality, these western democracies are tremendous engine of progress and provide opportunity and equality to very close to the entirety of their non mentally ill citizens. The perspective from countries that are still in essence barely more dictatures, and from people who are disfunctional, is not representative of what these offers to the vast, vast majority. Which is a more comfortable existence than has ever existed in human history.

    When I was growing up online, people were called "nazis" when they were acting in an authoritarian way, by kicking and banning people, etc...

    Now they're being called "nazis" when they're not authoritarian enough; when they refuse to ban and kick people.
