I was tidying up today and found a Netgear 10Mb hub. I didn't throw out away.. if I ever want to mess with someone's network experience I could drop it inline with their uplink. #evil

faffing writing some Haskell ( of course it is recursive). They types are correct \o/ and now it returns the wrong answer in a finite amount of time, instead of infinite!

@metalbiker well they run (supposedly unmodified) Debian on these switches, so I am even more confused than usual.

@metalbiker It's seems odd! I am trying to add a ssh key to a switch.

They are running the latest $VENDOR $OS, my usual key is 2048 RSA, however this fails.

So after squinting at the output of "ssh -vvv me@switch" decided to generate a new ED25519 key, which worked first time! 🤔

However the configuration on these appliances accepts tunneled plain text password. I am struggling to understand the reason for this now

When did 2048bit RSA SSH keys become unaccaptable ? I'm trying to log in to a host and it won't accept them. ED25519 SSH key is fine.

@pizza_pal The TdF often seems to occupy to much of racers attentions. For me, last years Giro was the best grand tour, and the cobbled classics are a source of much excitement 🙂
