well, more accurately, the cable is probably damaged somewhere, but i can't figure out where exactly. if they do kick the bucket eventually, i'm gonna try installing a 3.5mm jack instead so i can use separate cables, if that's even possible

i think my headphones might be starting to die. been getting occasional severe crackling on the right side like i'm listening to a radio and it's temporarily losing the signal

well i'm glad i tried playing the switch now instead of waiting until later tonight, because my joycon were straight up dead.

so now i guess i can wait for them to charge so i can play later.

@jk you don't really need to spend $100 on some router that looks like an alien mothership, but it's also not quite as simple as "any router will do"

in NA most modem-routers you get for "free" from your ISP are horrible overheating garbage even for just a couple people to use, so that's probably the biggest source of complaints

@jk i actually have problems connecting to wifi from the opposite end of the house. certain high-population areas, places with lots of different wireless signals, certain building materials (especially old houses) and using different/older wireless signals, can contribute a lot to signal loss. as well as things like microwaves (while running) causing interference

wifi is pretty great but there's a lot that can mess with it.

it's extremely good when people talk about their pets but they don't mention anything that tips off that whoever they're talking about is actually a dog until halfway through their post. so you spend half the post trying to imagine a person doing whatever

and you'd be surprised how many concepts that generally make more sense when applied to pets, still sound pretty believable when you think the subject is a person
