As some of you might now I've been having some trouble with my server that I was not able to track down, but 11 days ago I noticed that mysql was filling up my kernel logs, apparmor was preventing it from starting, flooding my logs with error messages.
I disabled Mysql completely - since it's not used on the server, and now it seems that was what was causing the trouble I've been having. It's been 11 days now, and no issues what so ever, so this looks promising.
Yesterday and today I worked on adding the 'mix' shader to my render plugin for 3dsmax.
So here I mix a metal material, with a 'matte' with diffuse texture, using a checkermap texture as 'mix'..
A new release will be done soon, that includes OpenCL build.
Why do people think they are entitled to get money from youtube when they have videos there? Why do people act as if they have a 'right' to earn money? Youtube sensors, obviously, and if ad services chooses not to have ads on videos based on 'X' then they as ad company are free to do so.
I cannot understand why people bitch about it, people are not entitled to get money from there.. I guess the content creators are just greedy, and too dependent on their youtube money to do something else. And there is not other place to get that cash the same way, so they bitch and complain.. That's the way I feel about it anyways..
Added the 'mix' shader to #LuxMax#3dsmax render plugin tonight, you can now mix several shaders.
Here I mix 'matte' with a diffuse texture and rough glass. short render time, ignore the noise in the render.
I will post a better sample tomorrow when I have time to make a better scene and render it.
Now it's time for bed. Good night to you all.
I'm still having trouble with the server freezing up every now and then, I'm now again trying to figure out what goes wrong. I noticed mysql was throwing errors in the kernel log, apparmor is stopping it from starting up and throws a error very frequently. I do not use mysql, so now I have disabled that.
So now I have to let things sit again and if it happens again I have to look more into it.
It does at least make it easier to dig around in the logs, since now I wont have thousands of error messages logged from mysql not starting up.
I'm having trouble today, ISP is unstable, and pod goes up\down frequently.
We have the worst flood I have ever seen here, so that is the cause.
I hope things stabilize shortly, I'm trying my best to do what I can to keep things running, but ISP's issues are outside of my control.
Started a new scene to test #LuxMax#OpenCL version (The render plugin I'm developing for 3dsmax). Scene is not done yet obviously, just blocking things out. #3dsmax#LuxRender
Tool - Parabola , great song, awesome video style.
I saw them live some years ago in my home town, best concert I've ever been at, I'll never forget it.

Been hunting a bug in the material preview system in my render plugin for 2 days now, I finally found it just as I was getting ready to go to bed. Now I can sleep well ;)
Took 2 days to find the bug, and 2 lines to get rid of it... hah, c++ = love and hate at the same time.
Today I soldered and put together my #planck keyboard. Will take some time to adjust, but I'm really happy that I finally got my hands on this keyboard.
I have some power issues in my house tonight. I initially thought it was the water heater that caused it, but after disconnecting that and everything in the bathroom it still cut the power after some time. So now I disconnected a new tv box we got some days ago, hopefully it will be that device. I will get things sorted when I get home from work tomorrow. Might cause some unfortunate downtime until then. Only 6 hours until I have to go to work - so I'm running out of time tonight.
