@bea I'm probably too normie for mastodon but my suggestions would be 1. Instances: that when there's a significant influx of newcomers that instances be encouraged to recruit.... run an 'advertorial' about your instance and go through a cycle of using hashtags so that newcomers can find and join. 2. Individuals: that are open to followers and following use hashtags so people can find, follow and be followed.

The federation line is pretty large so hashtags seem to be a convenient path.

@nev @Riley and the empty gestures towards empathy like celebrities/politicians who do the week on food benefits. The system is a never ending daily grind for so many. Being poor is expensive and in a monetized society, have a glitchy work system is abusive.

You can smell/see when buildings burn. Additional bitterness and tan/orange tint over sun/moon in addition to pink. Seems more ash with strictly forest. Local area went from heatwave 95 to 65 in 3 days as the smoke built up. Currently misty and the smoke is light. Plenty of people here for clean air.

End of summer-Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apples: for I am sick of love.

It will soon be time to wrap up the garden. The beans are stringy, squash are fading, carrots are ready to pull. Time to add compost, cover crops or straw. The honeycrisp apples are ready. They will be sliced very thin and dried into chips.

This is how I know the apples are ready... School is back in session. Apples go missing. When walking the dog I find bitten and discarded apples. @sirodoht It could be looked at as.. 1 all of the people 'volunteering' will now be paid for their labor. 2. It costs money to volunteer, now more people would be able to participate in society in a different way. 3. People can pool their funds and start a business.

@arturovm Older dual sports are suitable to cafe (tune down the knobbies), but modern ones are just too tall. They come across as desert steampunk. My kawasaki has mono. It's purposeful for long rides on well kept roads. Visually boring but then I'm partial to the classic shapes and colors of vintage.
