@Qwyrdo Come now, you’re expecting me to think of something like that? =:) I think I’d go with 2: the alignment of both elements is familiar, helping make the total more obvious.
Finishing up with my favourite pic from this jaunt, a foreboding pic of the castle amid a cornfield underneath a gathering storm as the winds picked up. Got trapped by the rain exploring this castle, the upper levels of which were inaccessible and the lower level of which was just a giant empty pit.
@tessaracht Ack! Don’t suppose anyone locally might have the same they could share a bit of while you search/obtain a replacement? Or might the doc be cool with simply reissuing the prescription? **hug**
@cathal Mm, I need to rejoin the local Greens. Even with Labour once more being a somewhat leftist option again (notwithstanding Corbyn's confounded witterings on Brexit; the time for indecision has long passed), they're easily the closest option to my own politics, even if FPTP means they face nigh insurmountable odds in actually claiming more seats than Brighton.
@icedlexatte Aw! Pity - *very* cute! (Currently looking for a bag or two, and wishing sites would allow /some/ kind of filtering by capacity, to drop the "will hold a phone and some foundation" size ones)
1. An end to forced arbitration in cases of harassment & discrimination
2. Commitment to end pay & opportunity inequity
3. A publicly disclosed sexual harassment transparency report
4. A clear, uniform, inclusive process for reporting sexual misconduct safely & anonymously
5. Elevate the Chief Diversity Officer to answer directly to the CEO & make recs directly to the Board; appoint an Employee Representative to the Board
@masklayer Mm, I'm nervous about that price hike - that may scare quite a few folk away. Perhaps that's the reason for the new free limit?
If it were sustainable, I'd sooner they kept the paid option as affordable as possible - maybe $10-20/year, so it's much more of a casual "sure, why not" purchase than "is this worth $50/year to me?" Still, we'll see.
Fundamentally, I prefer genuinely paid options to "free" when that's paid by whoring your data to hundreds of Big Data corps.
Yow. Geekbench results are suggesting the new iPad Pro (A12X) has CPU performance on a par with the current MacBook Pro (6-core i7 & i9). True, benchmarks can never be the whole story, but still.. !
@masklayer Really? Oof, that's rough.. not, I suppose, unreasonable for a free service, but quite the change from their previous "Here, have 1TB! Go wild!".
Now, if Smugmug would only hurry up and ditch the Yahoo/Oath login..
Quite a few positives in this year's GLAAD report on LGBTQ representation in TV:
- series regulars up from 6.4% to 8.8% - gender parity amongst LGBTQ characters - marginally *more* LGBTQ POC than "white" - more trans, with 26 total characters - 17 trans women, 5 trans men, 4 NB
